AMD Partnership: Advancing Girls in STEM
We are deeply grateful to AMD for their generous $10,000 contribution, which helped TQP achieve goals despite rapid growth and increased demand. With AMD's support, we expanded STEM programming from six to nine Northern Colorado locations, reaching more girls from under-served communities and providing free, hands-on, culturally responsive learning experiences. AMD funding strengthened our women-led mentorship model by supporting teachers and volunteers from CSU undergraduate programs and Poudre school district. The funding enabled slaaries, lesson materials, snacks, and special projects like our Gingerbread House Engineering project. Also TQP is able to advance professional development initiatives with CAP and AAUW. Despite challenges in managing additional sites, transportation, and staffing, AMD’s support gave us the flexibility to sustain high-quality programming. Thanks to AMD, TQP continues to empower young girls, foster mentorship and leadership, and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
