What is GEMS?
GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science) is a FREE after-school program designed to inspire and empower girls in grades K–8 to explore the exciting world of STEM. Through engaging, hands-on activities, GEMS girls dive into technology, engineering, math, and science in a fun and supportive environment that sparks curiosity and builds confidence.
Open to all girls in grades K–8 with a curiosity for science, technology, engineering, and math, no prior experience needed!
Completely FREE to participate, because every girl deserves access to an amazing STEM education.
Hands-on, activity-based classes that make learning fun, from building bridges to launching rockets and everything in between.
Classes are held consistently across northern Colorado, making it easy to find a GEMS session near you.

GEMS offers a wide variety of hands-on classes that make science and engineering exciting! Past classes have included Rocketry, Solar Energy, Electricity and Magnetism, Building Bridges, GEMS CSI, Marshmallow Pneumatics, Little Shop of Physics, and so much more.

Does my student need any prior experience in STEM to join?
Not at all! GEMS is open to all students in grades K–8, regardless of experience level. Whether your student is a budding scientist or just starting to explore their curiosity, they are welcome here.
