About The Quarter Project

Advocating for Equality and Building Confidence!

Women currently earn, on average, 78.6 cents for every dollar that a man makes in our country. The Quarter Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to bridge that gap by promoting young females in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) academics and careers.

To fulfill our mission, TQP offers GEMS, an after-school program at the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County, University Village, and the Academy of Arts and Knowledge. During each class, a leader in a STEM career volunteers their time and talents to teach the girls something about their field with hands-on activities.

We also provide scholarships for GEMS girls to attend summer STEM camps and host STEM camps.

Success begins with the belief that you are capable, the feeling of “I'VE GOT THIS!”. We are building foundations that increase the likelihood that GEMS girls will enter and excel in STEM fields.

Women are:

  • Under-represented in high-paying occupations
  • Payed less from day 1
  • Promoted at slower rates than their male colleagues
